Mission
Our mission is to be an innovative regional leader in responsible treatment of homeless dogs and cats, primarily through their rescue and placement in forever loving homes, and by promoting spaying and neutering to control pet overpopulation. We accomplish our mission with dedication to our core values and a lifetime commitment to our animals.
How Your Donation Helps
The SPCA of Northern Nevada was community founded and is community funded. We were established by volunteers in 1998 as Nevada’s first no-kill animal shelter. We receive no government funding or support from the ASPCA. We rely on adoption revenue, our Thrift Store profits, and the generosity of our community to cover expenses of rescuing at-risk dogs and cats and placing them in forever, loving homes. Your donations are greatly appreciated and are put to good use helping the animals.
