How it Works

It's free, easy and fast.
1 You choose a charity. Fill out an online form or call to donate.
2 We pick up your vehicle for free the next day.
3 We help the charity sell the vehicle. You may be eligible for a tax deduction.

We are dedicated to a single purpose: empowering veterans to lead high-quality lives with respect and dignity. We accomplish this by ensuring that veterans and their families can access the full range of benefits available to them; fighting for the interests of America’s injured heroes on Capitol Hill; and educating the public about the great sacrifices and needs of veterans transitioning back to civilian life.

How Your Donation Helps

Your donation helps Disabled American Veterans Dept of Connecticut with their various programs. These programs include purchasing vans for their Transportation system that provides rides to veterans to go to their VA Doctors appointments, their PDC Assistance Program where they provide food vouchers and clothing to needy veterans, provide gift cards to their wounded veterans at Walter Reed/Bethesda Hospital, Partner with AMVETS to provide wheelchairs to needy veterans, and they also represent veterans who put in claims to the VA.

In addition to their programs DAV has found a need to help homeless veterans who have fallen through the cracks so to speak. Their needs are immediate. We must locate them and provide assistance. With our severe winters we must do everything in our power to help our homeless veterans.
