The American Council of the Blind of Ohio is a 501(C)(3) non-profit membership organization incorporated in Ohio with offices in Columbus, Ohio and dedicated to improving the quality and the equality of life for Ohioans who are blind or visually impaired.
The American Council of the Blind of Ohio is heavily committed to advocacy on the local, state, and federal levels for greater understanding of the needs and aspirations of blind and visually impaired people. We direct our efforts and advocacy toward education, information, legislation, and other activities designed to enhance the life styles of people who are blind or visually impaired. Our members include both persons who are blind and visually impaired, and people who are fully sighted, all working together to achieve our goals.
