The Putnam County SPCA is a 501c3 corporation whose mission is to prevent cruelty to animals by proactively enforcing the NYS animal cruelty statutes and all the laws of New York, by providing shelter and veterinary care to animals seized from abuse and neglect and to provide Humane Education to schools and other interested groups.
Redwood Empire Food Bank (REFB) works with a variety of groups in our community to ensure that those at risk of hunger get the food they need to lead healthy and productive lives. REFB distributes donated food as well as purchased food to low-income families, seniors, and individuals. We also provide food to six smaller food banks in the northern coastal counties of Lake, Mendocino, Humboldt, and Del Norte.
This 501(c)3 public charity serves Volunteer Firefighters in need nationally online and through their national telecenter. They offer your local, unpaid, and Volunteer FIRST RESPONDERS their remedy for the unpaid Emergency Response Expenses of America’s citizenry and the general public for the many responses undertaken by the Volunteers. In 60% of responded to accidents, fires, and all types of personal and property emergencies, the First Responders are none other than your Volunteer Firefighters. These heroes, in most instances, absorb the mounting burden of these minute by minute calls for Emergency Response action.
First and foremost, the Committee For Missing Children, Inc is a parent advocacy group. They assist parents by providing the help they deserve and ensuring that their rights are protected. Through the dedication of our photo partners, they produce and distribute billions of images of missing children worldwide. Committee For Missing Children, Inc gathers and shares information, serves as a clearinghouse for information on the laws about missing children, and is developing the largest database in this country on missing children.
