United Cerebral Palsy of San Francisco was founded in 1951, and UCP of Alameda and Contra Costa Counties in 1952. In May of 1999 the two joined to form UCP of the Golden Gate, a network of support and information that spans the San Francisco Bay and serves thousands in our diverse communities. United Cerebral Palsy of the Golden Gate advocates the inclusion and advancement of people with cerebral palsy and other disabilities into the economic, social, and political life of the community. Our goal is to make the Greater Bay Area a richer place to live and work as a result of the efforts of our staff and supporters.
