Abode Services is battling homelessness in southern Alameda County. We provide shelter and a stable living environment for our clients, but we provide more than shelter alone. We fight to counteract the underlying causes of homelessness-to return homeless people to stable housing and positive community interdependence and help them stay there.If you have an unwanted car or truck in Alameda County, California may we suggest you donate it? Abode Services offers housing programs linked to support services for low-income and homeless families and individuals. Established in 1989, Abode Services' mission is to end homelessness by assisting low-income, un-housed people to secure stable, supportive housing, and to be advocates for the removal of the causes of homelessness in Alameda County, California. When a donation is pledged, the Vehicle Donation Processing Center, takes the donor information over the telephone, handles all the documents, vehicle pick up, sale at auction and distribution of proceeds to The Abode Services. The Vehicle Donation Processing Center guarantees payment of all expenses in administering the program for Abode Services. Every month, net proceeds are split evenly between the Vehicle Donation Processing Center and Abode Services.
