The San Francisco City Chorus (SFCC) is a talented, high-energy, welcoming non-profit singing group, directed by Larry H. Marietta. Its 60 members are adults throughout the Bay Area who love to sing, learn, and share their joy in music performance with enthusiastic audiences. The chorus's expansive repertoire includes choral classics, traditional and folk music from the United States and other countries, and 20th century and contemporary compositions. In addition to its exciting concert performance schedule, SFCC's holiday caroling is a treasured San Francisco tradition. Singers can be seen and heard in hotel lobbies, shopping centers, office buildings, etc., from the day after Thanksgiving through Christmas Eve. SFCC membership is open to anyone interested in choral music. Sight-reading skills and previous choral experience, while not required, are highly desirable. Gentle auditions are held three times each year, in September, January and April.
