The Pennsylvania Council of the Blind is dedicated to promoting independence and opportunities for blind or vision impaired people through assistance, advocacy, and encouragement. If you are a resident of Pennsylvania who would like to support The Pennsylvania Council of the Blind in its mission to enhance the quality of life for blind and visually impaired citizens of the state, consider donating your old car, truck, or other unwanted vehicle. This is how it works: the gift of a car donation brings revenue to the charitable organization. The Vehicle Donation Processing Center will collect your car at no charge to you, and make all the arrangements for selling it. After administrative costs are deducted, half of the net proceeds are sent to the charity. Your gift helps a worthy cause, and you’ll qualify for a tax deduction as well. When you decide to support the Pennsylvania Council of the Blind’s valuable work by donating your car or other unwanted vehicle, the Vehicle Donation Processing Center helps you clean out your driveway and make a valuable charitable contribution at the same time! The Pennsylvania Council of the Blind has partnered with The Vehicle Donation Processing Center, Inc. in the operation of our vehicle donation program. The Vehicle Donation Processing Center, Inc. allows The Pennsylvania Council of the Blindto be able to benefit from vehicular donations, and offers this service to you.

When a donation is pledged, the Vehicle Donation Processing Center, Inc., takes the donor information over the telephone, handles all the documents, vehicle pick up, sale at auction and distribution of proceeds to The Pennsylvania Council of the Blind. The Vehicle Donation Processing Center guarantees payment of all expenses in administering the program for Pennsylvania Council of the Blind. Every month, net proceeds are split evenly between the Vehicle Donation Processing Center, Inc. and Pennsylvania Council of the Blind.
