Oregon Sustainable Agriculture Land Trust (OSALT) protects urban gardens and farm, ranch and forest lands, holding them in trust for agricultural use by future generations. We also conduct research to develop practical and effective, ecologically, socially and economically balanced sustainable agricultural practices. In addition we train growers in sustainable practices through apprenticeships, seminars, workshops and publications, and seeks to inform the public of the importance of sustainable practices.

When a donation is pledged, the Vehicle Donation Processing Center, takes the donor information over the telephone, handles all the documents, vehicle pick up, sale at auction and distribution of proceeds to Oregon Sustainable Agriculture Land Trust. The Vehicle Donation Processing Center guarantees payment of all expenses in administering the program for Oregon Sustainable Agriculture Land Trust. Every month, net proceeds are split evenly between the Vehicle Donation Processing Center and Oregon Sustainable Agriculture Land Trust.
