The Georgia Council of the Blind Inc., an affiliate of the American Council of the Blind, is a consumer organization that strives to elevate the social, economic and cultural levels of the blind. Our organization works toward providing a forum for views of the blind, improving education and rehabilitation, and broadening vocational opportunities. Peer support is an important part of the Georgia Council of the Blind, as it encourages and assists the blind in developing their abilities and potential to become independent and responsible citizens in their communities. We also work hard to educate the public about the problems of blindness and the capabilities of blind people.

Georgia Council of the Blind has partnered with The Vehicle Donation Processing Center in the operation of our vehicle donation program. The Vehicle Donation Processing Center allows Georgia Council of the Blindto be able to benefit from vehicular donations, and offers this service to you.

When a donation is pledged, the Vehicle Donation Processing Center, takes the donor information over the telephone, handles all the documents, vehicle pick up, sale at auction and distribution of proceeds to Georgia Council of the Blind. The Vehicle Donation Processing Center guarantees payment of all expenses in administering the program for Georgia Council of the Blind. Every month, net proceeds are split evenly between the Vehicle Donation Processing Center and Georgia Council of the Blind.
