In 1996, the Gay & Lesbian Association for Retired Persons, Inc. (GLARP) was created to enhance the aging experience of gays and lesbians. It fills a void in the gay and lesbian community for retirement-related information and services, as well as providing an ideal environment in which to further research, study and provide for its membership's unique needs.
