Castro Valley National Junior Basketball (CV NJB) League serves the communities of Castro Valley, San Leandro, and San Lorenzo, California. CV NJB was established in 1998. CV NJB’s purpose is to acquaint each participant with the fundamentals of basketball; to teach proper shooting, passing, dribbling and defense; to teach good sportsmanship and teamwork concepts; to promote the physical, mental, moral and emotional soundness of the individual; and to encourage leadership, use of initiative and good judgment. CV NJB does not turn any child away due to their inability to pay. Your vehicle donation will go toward sponsoring children to play in our league. CV NJB’s code of ethics is to always demonstrate friendly and courteous attitudes toward your teammates, opponents and game referees; strive for good values; and emphasize good sportsmanship and fair play. It is imperative to attract the youth of our community to get involved and active to give them a sense of responsibility to themselves, team, and community. There is no other organization in our area that inspires youth, regardless of race, color, creed, or national origin, that practices the ideals of health, citizenship and character regardless of their ability to pay. CV NJB stresses the basic fundamentals that will make a difference to them in their future years. These fundamentals include respecting authority, team work, as well as learning the sport.

When a donation is pledged, the Vehicle Donation Processing Center, Inc., takes the donor information over the telephone, handles all the documents, vehicle pick up, sale at auction and distribution of proceeds to Castro Valley National Junior Basketball. The Vehicle Donation Processing Center guarantees payment of all expenses in administering the program for Castro Valley National Junior Basketball. Every month, net proceeds are split evenly between the Vehicle Donation Processing Center, Inc. and Castro Valley National Junior Basketball.
