Donate a Vehicle to Washington Council of the BlindThe Washington Council of the Blind is a non-profit charitable organization of people who are blind, partially blind, and sighted, working together statewide to elevate the social, economic and cultural level of people with severely impaired vision. The Washington Council of the Blind is a non-profit 501(c)3 volunteer organization dedicated to promoting opportunity, equality and independence in the blind community through education, public awareness and advocacy. WCB is a diverse state-wide consortium of local chapters, committed to fostering lifestyles that reflect participation, productivity, independence and dignity. Affiliated with the American Council of the Blind (ACB), WCB is the largest organization of blind consumers in the state of Washington. If you are a Washington resident who would like to support the Washington Council of the Blind in its important work on behalf of this special population, donating your old car, truck, or other unwanted vehicle is an easy and effective way to do so. The WCB will benefit from your gift, of course, but you will benefit also. By letting the Vehicle Donation Processing Center take care of the details, you will avoid tedious Department of Motor Vehicles paperwork and emissions regulations, and not have to worry about advertising and showing your vehicle in order to sell it. You will also get free vehicle pick-up whether your donated car is running or not (some restrictions apply), and qualify for a tax deduction. Your gift of a vehicle donation brings revenue to the organization and the Vehicle Donation Processing Center takes care of all the arrangements. After administrative costs are deducted, the Washington Council of the Blind received half of the net proceeds. When you decide to support the Washington Council of the Blind’s valuable work by donating your car or other unwanted vehicle, the Vehicle Donation Processing Center helps you dispose of unwanted property and make an important charitable contribution as well! Whether you prefer to go online or phone a live operator, why not get started right now? Check out How to Donate to get started, or go straight to our Donation Pick Up Form! |
