North Carolina Council of the Blind

We, the members of the North Carolina Council of the Blind, Inc., having been granted a charter on February 29, 1984 (05-29-84) by the North Carolina Department of State and being affiliated with the American Council of the Blind, do hereby bind ourselves together to promote opportunities for social, economic, and educational equality of the blind and visually impaired with society as a whole, to inform blind persons of the issues concerning their well-being, and to acquaint the public with basic attitudes for upholding the dignity, equality, and independence of the blind and visually impaired citizens.
