Founded in May of 1934, the California Council of the Blind, CCB, is a non-profit IRS- exempt organization comprised of blind, visually impaired and sighted Californians with a broad diversity of interests and professions. CCB provides scholarships for blind students, advocates for rehabilitation reform, and leads the way in improving public access and transportation, education and technology.
Since 1934, the mission of the California Council of the Blind (CCB) has to gain full independence and equality of opportunity for all blind and visually impaired Californians. CCB is a non-profit tax-exempt organization composed primarily of Californians who are blind or have low vision. We reflect the diversity of California.
