The cornerstone for this stately Carnegie Library was laid in 1904. The former library now houses Petaluma poultry, dairy, and Miwok Indian history exhibits from the 1850s. The building, designed by local architect Brainerd Jones and built from locally quarried stone, features the largest free-standing leaded glass dome in Northern California. The building is in the neo-classical style, featuring original fan-glass windows, round leaded-glass windows, also original interior wood paneling and columns. It also houses a fine research library.

The Red Sox Foundation is the official team charity of the Boston Red Sox. Their goal is to harness the passion our fans have for the Red Sox and transform it into a vehicle for positive exchange in their community. The primary focus is on their 5 cornerstone programs: Red Sox Scholars Program, Red Sox Foundation RBI Youth Baseball and Softball Program, Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital Home Base Program, Jimmy Fund, and the Dimock Center. Each year the Red Sox Foundation also makes a limited number of small grants to select nonprofits in New England on a rotating basis and we also work with Front Office members, sponsors and volunteers of Red Sox Nation on a variety of community service projects.
